Dove Lewis Emergency Animal Hospital was founded in 1973 by Mr. A.B. Lewis, and named in honor of his wife, Dove. The hospital was created in cooperation with the Portland Veterinary Medical Association. The hospital is a non-profit and relies heavily upon donations and fundraisers. the care they provide is considered world class, and they have extensive experience.
The hospital even has it's own animal ambulance.
The Lewis' raised several breeds of dogs and they also ran a family kennel and dog grooming business.
