A small but very socially-active post in the small town of Atchison KS livens up downtown with food and music several days a week.
A nearby business-owner told us the Legionnaires have activities at the Post several days a week, and that the post hall is frequently used for large parties or in support of community events.
We have not been able to find out any information about this post on-line, or about the men whose names grace the post. We assume Fleming-Jackson-Seever are casualties from WWI at the latest, since we found this post mentioned by that name in 1921 records of the American Legion National Convention.
We have not been able to find out when this post was established. There is no cornerstone for the building they occupy.
UPDATE 2017: The Legion Post has left this building and moved to a new place at 1617 S 6th Street.
Street address: 705 Commercial St, Atchison KS
Year the building was constructed.: 1950s
