This Welcome Sign greets the motorists who leave Interstate 15 at Exit 59 onto 200 North to enter central Cedar City from the north. Cedar City is know as "Festival City, USA" because of the annual Shakespeare Festival held here each year from late June through October. Thanks to many generous donors and Southern Utah University, the festival will be getting a new home in a 30 million dollar center for the arts to be constructed.
