This mark is located on the spot marking the border between Canada & US. The disk is on a small ledge, under a plaque and between the US & Canadian flags. The plaque, flags & disk are on the eastbound (South) side of the bridge.
The bridge crosses the border at an angle, and the line on the disk is oriented to depict the border correctly.
