This parking meter is part of Calgary's Park Plus parking system. The meters are used with a video licences plate reading system to ensure that you have paid for your parking. So if you see one of the City's parking vehicles drive by make sure you pay for parking, even if you have been sitting in the vehicle. The system recognizes if you are parked, not if you are in the vehicle.
If the system senses that you have not paid a ticket will arrive to the vehicle owner in the mail.
