Siden 1965 har pladsen lige nord for havnen og Gudenåen været knudepunkt for den udenbys bustrafik til og fra Randers.
Efter en omlægning af Østervold, hvor bybus trafikken havde sit samlingspunkt, blev også denne del af den offentlige trafik i byen flyttet til den store busterminal i 2006.
Since 1965 the location just north of the harbor and Gudenåen, has been the main station of the long-distance bus services to and from Randers.
After a reorganization of Østervold where the local bus traffic had its center point, these were also moved to the big bus station in 2006.
