On Ostwestfalenplatz square in Bielefeld, trees for each of Bielefeld's seven sister cities have been planted. Trees were chosen to be typical for the corresponding countries, and this is the tree for Rzeszów, Poland. It is a Small-leaved Lime (Tilia cordata). The twinning of Bielefeld and Rzeszów was established in 1991.
