George is a city in Grant County, Washington, United States. The population was 528 at the 2000 census. Its name was chosen as a somewhat humorous salute to the first President of the United States, George Washington. The town is known for being near the Gorge Amphitheatre.

This waster tower was great to see in a town with the name of our fist president. It stands tall for everyone to see as they pass by on Highway 90 across the center of the state.
