Almost 4000 graves lie quietly in the tidy Pleasanton Cemetery -- in 10 sections.
There is one infamous person buried here -- Carl Austin Hall, who was executed in the Missouri electric chair for his role in the kidnapping and murder of 6 year old Bobby Greenlease in 1933. You can read more about this horrible crime (if you care to) in Truman Capote's book In Cold Blood.
The rest of the dear departed here are just plain Kansas folks of all kinds.
The cemetery has a small chapel in the center, with a cute old water pump out back.
This is a peaceful, tranquil place, with many beautiful ornate gravestones.
