The Weld Club is located in the Perth City CBD. The Club is considered to cater to the "establishment" of the city, rather exclusive. The Club was founded in 1871, it is named after the then Governor of Western Australia (1869–1875), Sir Frederick Weld, who was also the first Club patron. The club building was designed by the prominent Western Australian architect and public figure Talbot Hobbs, and completed in 1892. This year is engraved above the main entrance.
