Several municipal flags you can see fly on the building of the Town Hall in Vilnius, capital of Lithuania.
One big flag is on flagpole situated on the top of Town Hall gable, two other are on small flagpoles at both sides of the building' main entrance. The red flag, divided with thin horizontal yellow strip, has in the middle coat of arms of Vilnius - St. Christopher wading in the water and carrying the Infant Jesus on his shoulders.
White neo-Classicist building of the Vilnius Town Hall (Vilniaus rotuše), built by architect Laurynas Gucevicius in 1799, is one of the key landmarks of Lithuania' capital historic centre.
