ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The The Harmony Volunteer Fire Company was organized in 1874 and the records of the company are sketchy, and it is unclear who the men where and how many started the the company. The company originally served harmony borough and the outlying areas. Then in the early thirds the company formed an agreement with Lancaster Township and Jackson Township to cover the two townships. The company was incorporated in 1933 and is owned solely by its members.
