Devon House dates from 1938, and was designed by William T Leighton (designer of the nearby Piccadilly Theatre and Arcade). It is a small building, sandwiched between larger buildings (one of which is the art deco Gledden Building). Thus it is often overlooked.
The building has a somewhat unadorned appearance, however, the roofline features a simple trident shape with two stylised decorative panels directly above the highest pair of windows. Each floor of the building consists of one open room. The ground floor now contains a travel agency.
Unfortunately, in early 2013, there is large tree blocking a direct view of the building.
