Saint Barbara is one of the Roman Catholic Parishes within the South Hills of the Pittsburgh Metro . The parish was formed in the 1800's by Slovenian immigrants who wanted mass to be in their own language.Mass is now spoken in the English language, but the Slovenian traditions continue at Saint Barbara's .

This is the second building of the parish, which ground was broken in the early 1980's and was dedicated on December 8, 1985.
