Die Buchenwaldkapelle ist eine Gedächtniskapelle, die 1848/49 zum Gedächtnis an die Gefallenen der napoleonischen Kriege erbaut wurde. Zugleich dient sie als Kriegergedächtnis für die Kriege in den Jahren 1870/71, 1914/18 und 1939/45. Bei der Kapelle befinden sich Gräberfelder und Gedenksteine aus dem 19./20. Jahrhundert.
