This polyurethane sign is relatively new (2011). All one
needs to know is given on a stainless steel plaque embedded in the brick
plinth. The plaque reads
The Great Hallingbury village sign, unveiled by
Rt Hon Sir Alan Haselhurst
MP
10 September 2011
depicts
St Giles’ Church, Tudor Cottage,
Hallingbury
Place (residence of the Morley
and
later Houblon families ) and the
Telephone Box owned
by the Parish Council.
The plinth is built
of bricks from the
Old Dairy at Hall
Farm
which
were originally moulded at the
Kiln on Tilekiln Green.
