The Express tram is a people mover service located inside the Wayne County International Airport Terminal.
Situated along the length of Concourse A, the tram provides service between Gates A1 and Gates A78, with an intermediate stop located at Gate A38. There is also a maintenance train shed at the north end of the terminal.
The tram is fully accessible, with elevators and escalators to the second floor loading/unloading areas at all stations.
The tram began service in 2002, at the same time the new terminal was put into service.
There are 2 separate trains, operating simultaneously in opposite directions, with a passing track at the mid point.
