"Carmen Castellano dedicated 33 years as an employee of San Jose City College and was an active member of our campus community. As a founding of the Latino Education Association she has been instrumental in the success of many students. Through the generosity of the Castellano family foundation and Carmen's love of art and her love of San Jose City College , many in our community have had an opportunity to find their artistic voice.
Therefore, this building stands in honor of Carmen Castellanos extraordinary passion and will continue her inspirational legacy. May the students that study here enrich their passion for the fine arts and contribute to the vibrancy and cultural expression of our diverse community."
