Playa Kalki (also referred to as "Alice In Wonderland" by scuba divers) is a tiny beach located at the northwestern tip of the island of Curacao.
This tiny sea cove consists of both fine white sand intermixed with somewhat coarser crushed shell and spotty patches of dead coral remains. While not the most famous beach on the island for those seeking a "beachlike" atmosphere, it is conveniently located right next to a luxury resort (the "Kura Holanda") purposefully tucked away from day-to-day civilization and is -- more importantly -- a mecca for snorkelers and scuba divers wishing to enjoy a little sunshine on a sandy beach after their underwater adventures.
The beach has a roped-off area with a floating platform and can only be reached from either the resort or down some steep stone steps which start from the public parking area nearby. Halfway between the parking area and the beach is a shaded terrace with a snack bar and dive shop. The nearby resort offers several other facilities, those usually encountered in any 5-star hotel.
