The above details in the decription as well as those that follow are from an information panel located in close proximity to the building.

Former Town Hall, now the Victoria School Museum

"In 1879, the Town Hall was converted to a school and remained the same for 90 years until it was closed in 1969.

For a period of time until the early 1980's, the building served as the main office for the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority. Since the mid 1980's, the former Town Hall has functioned as a museum with a garden maintained by the local Horticultural Society."

The lower floor now houses a local history museum, the
Victoria School Museum, and the Canada Veterans’
Hall of Valour.
