Nice spot to stop in after driving from Yellowstone and before hitting the Chief Joseph Byway. Great view of the Dam, which was the tallest dam in the world when it was completed in 1910

The Buffalo Bill Dam Visitor Center provides information and maps about Cody, Yellowstone and the surrounding areas. The center is staffed with local volunteers, paid staff, and a Bureau of Land Management volunteer. Call in season 307-527-6076.
The gift store offers educational books and DVD's on regional subjects. A small theater offers the visitor an opportunity to learn about the building of the dam.
