It was placed here in 2011 for the 150th anniversary of the club which was founded in 1861.
The whole park has been created by this club in 1964. The club was founded at the location of the plaque.
There's a second different plaque at another part of the park.

Hier in der ehemaligen Restauration Silberburg wurde am 15. Juli 1861 der Verein für die Verschönerung der Stadt Stuttgart und ihrer Umgebung gegründet.
Gestiftet vom Verschönerungsverein Stuttgart e.V. zu seinem 150-jährigen Jubiläum am 15. Juli 2011.
(At this place in the former restaurant Silberburg was the buitification club for the city of Stuttgart and the surounding areas founded at the 15th july 1861. Donated by the Verschönerungsverein Stuttgart e.V. for the 150th anniversary at the 15th july 2011.)
