4/1/2014 - Walking by the post office on this day, I saw that the painted Peanuts characters have been scraped off. Below is the original entry.
----
In Boston's Government Center area is the John Fitzgerald Kennedy Station Post Office, which has Peanuts Characters painted on the windows.
The post office is located on the first floor of a brick building, near the Brooks Courthouse, and about two blocks from the John F. Kennedy Federal Building on Cambridge Street. The post office is near New Chardon Street. The windows are on the south side of a brick building and face a dark plaza. From New Chardon Street, the windows are behind a spherical iron sculpture (proceed to the right of it).
The characters are visible all along the window and are each about six inches high. Most of the scenes involve Snoopy. One is of him fishing while on his dog house, presumably out of his bowl. Another is of him giving Charlie Brown a kiss on the forehead as Charlie places the food down. Another is of Snoopy sitting on Schroeder's piano as Schroeder plays. Another is of him skating with Lucy (eaw - Dog germs!). Another is of Snoopy at a school desk. Another is of Snoopy giving a smooch to Linus. And a pair of images show Snoopy narrowly missing being beaned by Charlie Brown.
07/14/2014 - Checked on status and adjusted coordinates to be closer to post office entrance.
