This church is affiliated with the Barry County Southern Baptist Association and has a simple web page. The booklet entitled 100 years of the Barry County [Southern] Baptist Association (1883-1983), by Pauline Cox, mentions Roaring River Baptist Church in the 1884 meeting, when it had brought a petition to the association to join it. I don't know how long before that year that the church had started, but it obviously goes back to at least that year.

The church is named after the river that begins about 4.8 miles away, as the crow flies, at Roaring River Spring. It is about 1.1 miles northwest, as the crow flies, of the town of Eagle Rock.
