The former Henry Street bridge over Roanoke's rail tracks was tranformed into a pedestrian bridge dedicated to Dr. Martin Luther King. In addition to a statue of Dr. King at the north end, engravings reading "I Have A Dream" and "Dare To Dream" are at the bridges north and south ends, respectively. In addition, plaques at either end of the bridge read "Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Bridge."
