A First Nations woman dancing in full regalia is painted on one side, a tipi on the other side of this box by artist Elena Bushan. Red ribbon fringes from the dancer's shawl flow across the sides of the box to the reverse, where the tipi is. Text at the top of the box reads "Stampede Park". The image and text refer to the Indian Village at the
Calgary Stampede. The Stampede takes place at Stampede Park, not far from this location, for ten days in early July every summer.
The box is at the SE corner of Macleod Trail and 25 Ave SE. This is just one of many boxes painted by Elena Bushan for the City of Calgary.
