This four foot high, three foot wide, relief art sculpture is described in the Art Inventory Catalog as follows:
"Four figures representing a pioneer family are seen with the tools and equipment used for pioneer life. Standing male figure is bearded and holds an infant in his proper left arm. On his proper right side, is a standing female figure, who places her arm around a small boy standing by her proper right side. In the background, there appears to be an image of the Mormon Temple. Tools and equipment shown include a wagon wheel, spinning wheel, lantern, hoe, axe, and shovels." (
