The footbridge is surrounded by tree ferns & enables walkers to cross the banks of a small creek which runs only when the lake overflows. Unfortunately this often sees the little bit of water flowing down the creek (seepage) highly polluted.

There are several tracks traversing Mt Alexandra which is a nature reserve situated behind lake Alexandra.

When you cross this footbridge you have the option of turning left & walking to Forty Foot Falls or taking the steps & heading up the mountain.
Trail Name: Forty Foot Falls Track

Approximate Length of Bridge: 27

Obstacle: Seasonal creek that drains Lake Alexandra

Trail Type: Earthen/Packed Dirt
