"Agriculture" Statue - Holborn Viaduct, London, UK

Holborn Viaduct is the name of a road and bridge that crosses the valley of the River Fleet connecting Holborn in the west to Newgate in the east. The viaduct balustrades have four human figures perched on them of which this is one.

The female figure, slightly larger than life-size, dressed in robes is mounted atop a granite pedestal. In her right hand is a scythe and slightly behind her, on her left side, is a sheaf of corn with her left hand resting on it. On the front of the base of the statue is the word "Agriculture".
