This webcam is a basic low resolution camera updating every 60 seconds. The dam is on Buck Creek and the small Lake Davidson is formed behind it. Helena is a 16,000 resident suburb of the larger Birmingham metropolitan area, and is known for this scenic waterfall and the public park area below it known humorously as "Helena Beach" due to the residents swimming and playing here during the summer months.
