The Rainbow Serpent is a common motif in the art and mythology of Aboriginal Australians. This rainbow serpent is a link between two cultures - Aboriginal & European & represents reconciliation between the two races. The eye of the serpent has two hands, one white, one black, in a grip.
The mosaic features footprints bearing names of those involved in its creation. The mosaic is comprised of river stones (some painted), hand made & painted tiles as well as those commercially available. The creatures include fish, a frog, platypus & the serpent encompassing them all.
