The Board of Directors of Magnolia Cemetery on Pine Street recognized the long hours and dedication of Beaumonts Firefighters to a dangerous job and for little pay and in 1899 they donated a the lot of their choice to the fire department for the use of needy firefighters. There are numerous burials in the cemetery, one firefighter being only 26 years old when he died. The cemetery is working on a webpage that will list monuments and memorials.
