The termal well of Saturnia called "Cascate del mulino" are quite well known and visited by thousands of people every year. You can find the terman well about 1kilometer south of Saturnia. Wikipedia says it has a swell of about 800 liters per second. The temperature of the well is about 37° C. The water shall be rainwater from Monte Amiata collected 200 meters deep in the mountain. There it gets its typical sulpur which can be smelled easily when the water reaching the surface at "Cascate del mulino" after 30 kilometers.



Die Thermalquelle von Saturnia, "Cascate del mulino" genannt sind weithin bekannt und werden alljährlich von tausenden Besuchern besucht. Sie liegen etwa 1 Kilometer südlich von Saturnia. Laut Wikipedia hat die Quelle eine Schüttung von 800 Litern/Sekunde. Das Wasser ist 37,5°C warm. Wikipedia erklärt, dass sich das Regenwasser von den Hängen des Monte Amiata in 200 Metern Tiefe sammelt und mit Schwefel anreichert. Es tritt nach einem Lauf von 30 Kilometern bei Saturnia an die Oberfläche und bildet die Cascate del Mulino.
