The Mainstreet Style salon occupies the Dora Heath House on Parker's historic Mainstreet. Dora was the wife of Dr. Walter Heath (see
Parker's Most Significant Early Doctor) and lived in this house after the death of her husband. The house was constructed without indoor plumbing or central heating. There was a water pump on the back porch, a privy attached to the coal shed in back and kerosene lamps for lighting.
The wooden barber pole is stationary yet elegantly painted with gold end caps and the signature red, white and blue stripes. The building is an official Town of Parker Historic Landmark.
