The southeastern Denver suburb of Parker was established in 1870 by James Sample Parker. It was incorporated in 1981 and had a population of over 45,000 in 2010. The Parker Chamber of Commerce offers a small selection of brochures and magazines detailing events and attractions around the area. Don't forget to ask for a copy of the Parker Walking Tour brochure which includes the local history and background information on Parker's historic downtown buildings.
