The only place we could find in Paihia where there is free wi-fi. One member of our party had trouble connecting to the free service, but there is a relatively inexpensive pay-as-you-go service available too.

There is a sign on the library requesting wi-fi users to remain outside and, given that in NZ Internet access almost always comes with a beefy cost, there were a number of people hanging around the library grounds.
And it's a pleasant environment. The library is located in Williams House, a nationally designated heritage site, and the surrouding grounds are very well taken care of.
Connection Type: Base Station (BSS)
DHCP IP's Given Out: DHCP On
Is WEP Key on or off?: ?

Approximate Location: The library does not wi-fi users coming into the library to get access. There is a bench outside and the grass is nicely cut :-)
