I recovered this Southern Pacific Railroad square iron bolt in good condition. It is imbedded on the NW corner of an abutment and west of railroad tracks that span across an irrigation canal that flows from Klamath Lake. There is no monumentation date but I've recovered similar iron bolts along railroad tracks in this area and know that the abutments and culverts along this stretch were built around 1919, so I would assume that this bolt was monumented from around that time frame. The NGS datasheet description is adequate for recovery and my posted coordinates will place you directly on the station.
