Quite a number of parking meters in Bielefeld are solar powered and collect the electric energy they need right on the spot with solar cells. I noticed there are at least three individual types of them, differing from each other in design. This is an example of what I shall call Type (C). The design is very much similar to Type (B), but the solar collector is mounted to an extra post off the parking meter in a rather elevated position where it is better exposed to the sun. The location of this parking meter is at the corner of Breite Strasse and Siekerstrasse.

Eine ganze Anzahl von Parkscheinautomaten in Bielefeld wird mit Sonnenenergie betrieben und versorgt sich selbst per Solarzellen an Ort und Stelle mit dem benötigten elektrischen Strom. Ich konnte mindestens drei verschiedene Varianten entdecken, die sich in ihrer Ausführung voneinander unterscheiden. Dies ist ein Beispiel für die Variante, die ich mal Typ (C) nennen will. Er sieht im Grunde ähnlich aus wie Typ (B), nur ist der Kollektor mit den Solarzellen nicht auf dem Automaten selbst montiert, sondern in erhöhter Position am Pfosten eines neben dem Automaten stehenden Schildes. Offenbar steht der Automat zu schattig und der Kollektor musste höher angebracht werden, um ausreichend Sonnenstrahlen aufnehmen zu können. Dieser Parkscheinautomat steht an der Ecke Breite Straße / Siekerstraße.
