This is a brick mansion which is one of Fall River's best remaining examples of French Second Empire homes. Built around 1875 for David M Anthony a partner in the provision company of Anthony, Swift & co. The builder was probably Earle and Horton, since David Horton (partner) was the uncle of Mrs Anthony. It was much more elaborate when built however still stands as a distinctive style today, because of its brick construction versus wood framing.
