NGS W369 RESET 1981 - Oregon - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This vertical control mark is located along the Cascade Lakes Highway about a third of a mile west of the Deschutes National Forest boundary. The cap is in a round concrete monument located about 30 feet south of top of the cut on the south side of the highway. The National Geodetic Survey set this cap in 1981 and marked it W369 RESET. The Cascade Lakes Highway was to be widened in 1981 it was thought that W369 (QD0938) would be destroyed so this mark was set about 30 feet farther south (not in NGS data base).
