"101.1 KLRC FM is a radio station located in historic downtown Siloam Springs, Arkansas. The station serves the Fayetteville radio market, and has been in operation since October 1984. Starting out as a 100 watt campus-only radio station, the station has grown to now reach more than 60,000 listeners each week throughout Northwest Arkansas.

KLRC is a unique radio station because it has a dual purpose. First and foremost, KLRC exists to communicate hope in Christ through positive music and programming to people who listen to mainstream radio. Because of this, KLRC strives for excellence in all facets of operation, from production, to listener relations, all the way up to the final on-air sound.

But KLRC also serves as a training ground for broadcasting students enrolled at John Brown University. Our University's founder understood the importance of radio ministry and was a pioneer in radio broadcasting in the 1920's. That tradition continues. KLRC continues to provide students with a hands-on learning experience to supplement classroom learning.

Over the past few years, 101.1 KLRC has achieved amazing success. The station has been named the Radio Station of the Year by the Christian Music Broadcasters and the Gospel Music Association four times. This is a national award and the highest honor available for Christian radio stations in America. We have also been named a finalist for the two most prestigious awards given to radio by the National Association of Broadcasters -- the Crystal Award for Excellence in Community Service as well as the NAB Marconi Award.

KLRC strives to make a Positive Difference in the communities in which we broadcast. KLRC outreaches such as "Pay it Forward!" and "KLRC Christmas Wish" have seen a great outpouring of support from listeners, and has now even lead to the formation of the "KLRC Cares Street Team". With God's leading and your help, our passion is to make an even greater difference in the community in the years to come. "
