At the date of posting this is the most southerly ice arena waymark in the world.
Queenstown is the heart of the South Island's tourism economy and best known as a great place to get active with bungees, amazing mountain biking trails, ski and snowboard resorts, thrill rides, great tramping and boating. In the same park as the ice arena you'll find a disc golf course, skateboard park, lawn bowls green and tennis courts.
It was established in 1966 and is only open during the winter months.
