This is the place of an Ancient Roman Well called 'Mönchbrunnen'. It is located deep inside a wood called 'Bernloch'. The wood belongs to Bondorf, Germany, Baden-Württemberg.

The well whas been created by the Romans arount the years 150-200. At this time there was no wood here. It was a part of an Roman farm. Some stones and ruins can be found in the wood nearby.

There's an infomation sign about the Roman well.

The well was renovated in 2006. So it's in good condition.
It is covered by an iron gate. It is dry now.
Its real deep is unknown. Its diameter is about 1 meter.
Most Relevant Historical Period: Roman Empire > 27 B.C.
