This Philadelphia Toboggan Company carousel was installed in 1928 by John Mulvihill in the previous Elitch Gardens site at 38th and Tennyson in northwest Denver. It replaced the original carousel, manufactured by the same company, that had been installed by Mary Elitch in 1905.
