A free standing archway that formed part of the old gate house entrance to what used to be the Rhiwlas Estate, just north out of Bala.

The arch is formed of a local slate stone and has been formed with battlements above to give it a older look that it is. It dates from the early 19thC, and was part of the old Rhiwlas estate that now is split into separate houses and the outbuildings have also been renovated and sold off.
