In the centre of Eynsford in Kent the River Darent flows along the valley floor. As the road called Riverside comes to cross this river, you have two choices. This bridge. or the ford next to it. The bridge is only wide enough for one vehicle at any one time.
This twin arched bridge is built in the 17th century of stone. Later on some flint and some brick were added. There is one pointed cutwater on the upstream side and a rectangular recess on the down stream side
The bridge was grade 2 listed in 1967.
