"Built for Amos H. Root, the three-story building has a first floor of cast iron column and beam construction, while the upper two stories exhibit fine brickwork. It was built in 1890 and displays many elements characteristic of commercial structures of the period. Root was a successful Denver businessman, and the building has served as a drugstore, furniture store, warehouse and rooming house." (from (visit link) )
