This tree is located, appropriately enough, in the Singapore Botanical Gardens. The tree is a rubber tree, symbolic of the importance of the rubber industry to south-east Asia. According to the plaques associated with the tree, it was a gift from the city of London to the people of Singapore. The tree was planted on the 29th October 2001.
