This cemetery is located in the churchyard of the Christian Catholic church St. Leodegar in Möhlin, but it is the municipal cemetery for all denominations.
The cemetery has about 2000 graves and is located west of the church. The area has an old tradition as a graveyard. In the 1950s an Alemannic grave from about 600 A.D. was found near the steeple, the church itself was first documented in the year 794.
According to the local tradition the headstones only contain names and dates, no additional inscriptions.
