[EN] The establishment of the first Church in Eibach goes back to the pre-Reformation period. In the 15th Century, there was a Catholic parish church, dedicated to St. Anthony.
1533 the people of Eibacher become Protestant, after Count William of Nassau-Dillenburg converted to the Lutheran creed. In 1584 the church became Reformed under Count John the Elder. Since the union of the Lutheran and Reformed Churches in 1817, the church belongs to the united denomination.
1783, the church was renovated and partially rebuilt. Further renovations and restoration was done in 1830, 1972, and in the 90s.
The pulpit dates from the 17th Century and is richly decorated with pilasters, the lower edge carries an ornamentation in strapwork forms.
The cheeks of the pews bear carvings from around 1783.
Since 1983, the church has a lead-glazed window, which was designed by the artist Andreas Felger.
The church is a monument because of its historical and artistic importance.
